Part of what makes Dexter streaming so entertaining to watch is the expert writing. There are so many quotes that make audiences chuckle, smile, or nod their heads in agreement. In this Dexter streaming blog, I’m going to list some of my favorite Dexter quotes…

  • [Context: Dexter finds doll parts in his freezer.] “I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I’m not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like ‘Hey, wanna play?’ and yes, I want to play. I really, really do.”
  • “I’m the helpful handyman. How evil can I be?”
  • “Just what I ordered: feigned civility with a heaping side of betrayal.”
  •  “No blood. No sticky, hot, messy, awful blood; no blood at all. Why hadn’t I thought of that? No blood. What a beautiful idea!”
  • “Needless to say I have some unusual habits, yet all these socially acceptable people can’t wait to pick up hammers and smash their food to bits. Normal people are so hostile.”
  • “Harry was a great cop here in Miami. He taught me how to think like one; he taught me how to cover my tracks. I’m a very neat monster.”
  • “People fake a lot of human interactions, but I feel like I fake them all, and I fake them very well. That’s my burden, I guess.”
  • “I just know there’s something dark in me and I hide it. I certainly don’t talk about it, but it’s there always, this Dark Passenger. And when he’s driving, I feel alive, half sick with the thrill of complete wrongness. I don’t fight him, I don’t want to. He’s all I’ve got. Nothing else could love me, not even… especially not me. Or is that just a lie the Dark Passenger tells me? Because lately there are these moments when I feel connected to something else… someone. It’s like the mask is slipping and things… people… who never mattered before are suddenly starting to matter. It scares the hell out of me.”
  • “There’s something strange and disarming about looking at a homicide scene in the daylight of Miami. It makes the most grotesque killings look staged, like you’re in a new and daring section of Disney World: Dahmerland!”
  • “I always prided myself on being an outsider… but now… I feel the need to connect with someone.”
  • [To Deb] “Keep the sex suit on when you’re talking to the Captain, it’ll help your cause.”
  • “Dogs don’t like me because of what I sometimes do to their masters.”
  • “The problem with eating and driving, which I love to do, is not being able to have my hands on the wheel at the 10 and 2 position. It’s a matter of public safety.”

What does season 6 of Dexter streaming online hold for fans of free TV? Well, it’s hard to precisely predict, but I think fans have certain expectations for what is to come. I would guess that something very dramatic is going to jar us from our comfort zone at the very start of season 6, since season 5 went out like a lamb. As you recall, Deb and Quinn came out as strong characters. LaGuerta and Batista were trying to give their marriage another chance. Masuka enjoyed a date. Dexter and nanny Sonia will care for the kids all summer and there is a glimmer of hope for Dexter, who believes his Dark Passenger may one day vanish.

I think it’s easy to see why Lumen’s life was spared. She’s a safe witness because she could never blow Dexter in without implicating herself in the crimes and let’s be honest – she loves Dexter, which is admittedly precious. Quinn seems like a potential problem for Dexter in future episodes. Sure, Dex saved him for Deb, but Quinn may suspect Dexter even more now.

Will this be the season of Dexter streaming where Debra finally discovers Dexter’s dark secret?

Who will be Dexter’s big bad villain in season 6? All we know at this point is that it will not be “one big bad,” like the Ice Truck Killer, but rather multiple bad guys that will move throughout the season. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see these new episodes of Dexter streaming!

What new detective characters will we meet? Rumor has it, there will be: Jamie, an “outgoing and fun Latina in her mid-20s” who came to Miami for grad school; Chicago Mike, a “new thirty-something African-American homicide detective” who does not play well with others; and Louis, a “buddy of Muska’s who joins MMP as a new lab intern.”

Will LaGuerta finally pay for her selfishness and poor judgment? Despite the fact that her marriage is back on the mend, she has made a long series of bad moves in season 5 of Dexter streaming. Her poor actions are starting to get annoying!

We can expect to see a little of the old Dexter in that he will have more sibling dynamics. Yet, we’re also told Dexter will get a little bit religious and go down a slightly different path than the novel. Does that scare some of you? Book purists may not like it, but I’m all for tweaking if the plot lines make sense and it’s more exciting.

Dexter Streaming: Season 5 Finale Recap

August 31, 2011

The season 5 finale of Dexter streaming wasn’t quite the dark and gripping bloodbath of season 4. I read somewhere that the writers and producers were having a hard time imagining how they could possibly “top” season 4’s conclusion. Episodes that shocking and that thrilling only hit a show once, it seems. So, for season [...]

Best Dexter Episodes: Season 5, Episode 6

August 27, 2011

It’s rare that a TV show makes me laugh so hard I literally choked, but I couldn’t contain myself in the “Everything Is Illumenated” Dexter streaming episode. The best part was when Masuka explains (and very enthusiastically) demonstrates his version of the two dead bodies at the warehouse. It was freaking hilarious! I could watch [...]

Best Dexter Episodes: Season 4, Episode 12

August 23, 2011

I think of all the Dexter streaming seasons so far, perhaps my favorite was season 4, although 5 was just as riveting! In this smashing finale, Arthur and Dexter square off in the homicide department as Arthur tells Dexter he should “give up vigilantism,” as he is “not very good at it.” Dexter has a [...]

Be sure to watch “Finding Freebo” (season 3, episode 2) of Dexter streaming. This is a very dramatic episode for Dexter, who is forced to make a big decision with regard to the responsibility and commitment needed for his new family.  Rita tells him he can either be 100 percent involved in their baby’s life [...]

Best Dexter Episodes: Season 2, Episode 5

August 19, 2011

“The Dark Defender” is another one of my all-time favorite episodes of Dexter streaming. In this episode, Dexter finds out that the man who killed his mother right before his eyes is still alive and well in Naples, Florida. Now you know what the murderous Dexter must be thinking! Yet, Lila naively suggests he face [...]

Best Dexter Episodes: Season 1, Episode 9

August 18, 2011

Arguably, one of the best episodes I’ve watched of Dexter streaming was season 1, episode 9: “Father Knows Best.” In this episode, Dexter learns that his biological father, Joe Driscoll, had only recently died, leaving him everything he owned – including his house. Dexter had previously thought his father had died 30 years ago. Can [...]

Are You Ready For Season 6 Dexter Streaming?

August 17, 2011

I just read that Dexter will be “looking for God and finding religion” in upcoming season 6, which airs on October 2nd. The storyline will follow Lumen and Dexter seeking atonement for Rita’s death, which you know he feels totally responsible for. You’ve probably noticed there has been religious imagery in the teasers, but we [...]

No More Dexter Streaming On NETFLIX???

August 16, 2011

Are you one of those people who signed up for Netflix just to watch Dexter streaming? I was. Then, this summer, Showtime decided they didn’t want to renew their deal with Netflix… which means no more Dexter streaming! Even Netflix was flabbergasted by the decision. Yet, Showtime isn’t the only TV network snubbing people who [...]
